INTRODUCTION

Drugs are rampant today in a lot of communities across the nation. Drugs have claimed many people and have destroyed countless lives. We must remember that all drugs are NOT harmful and illegal. Some drugs are beneficial and are legitimately used for medicinal purposes. This web quest is designed to enlighten you about illegal drugs. By doing this, you will be better prepared to guard against the pitfalls of drug use and abuse.

TASK

Each group will gather information about four of the following drugs: marijuana, hashish, cocaine, crack cocaine, amphetamines, barbiturates, LSD, heroin, mescaline and peyote, psilocybin, opium, morphine, amyl nitrite, butyl nitrite, methamphetamines.(each group will be assigned a different four drugs to research) Information to gather: drug type, brief history of the drug, street name, what drug looks like, how long drug is detectable in the body, how drug is used, and health problems associated with this particular drug use.
